Avaloc
Friday, January 05, 2007
Avaloc, named for the mythical king of Avalon, is an expanded sans serif face. Avaloc has a clean and geometric look, similar to Futura, and is useful in many settings. Use it as an alternative to Copperplate or Trajan in chic settings such as wine labels, logotypes or invitations. A current design trend is to use extended faces for body copy; Avaloc works well for that purpose. As with all insigne releases, Avaloc has a full complement of OpenType features including ligatures, old style figures and small caps.
